In 1714, Samuel COODE, gentleman, purchased the Manor and the Lordship of Methleigh, the mill, the mill moor and ownership of the cove of Breage), some of which formed part of the harbour area.
The mill was at the bottom of Mill Lane (where Gala Parc, the football ground is now). It was in use as a mill until 1882.
