Pentre House

Situated next to The Old School) was part of the Penrose Estate and was built approx 1867.

In 1877 the house was leased to George BOWDEN, Master Mariner and he lived there with his wife Mary Jane, their son George & Mary lane’s mother Mary JAMES, a widow.

Later, from 1911, the house was lived in by Dr Elliston, with the cottage in the grounds being used as the surgery.
